Hello, my name is Mathias, and welcome to MaximiseYourDollar!

I am a regular guy in the early thirties living in Singapore.  I hold a day job, and like many others, have bills to settle, mortgage to pay, and financial goals to work towards.  I hold a keen interest in personal finance, and enjoy discussions on finance related matters with people around me.  While this is often a sensitive topic to have, I feel that there are a lot of useful information or tips that all of us know, but are too reserved to share, or to probe (others about).  I was looking for a way for me to share what I know and practice, and in the process, learn from others as well.  As a result, I was motivated to start writing on finance related matters. At this site, I will be sharing all the useful financial tips that I currently practice, and also any finance related articles that I find to be a good read.

I am also in the process of exploring, and experimenting with wealth creation through various means.  I’m new in this, and I would like to use this venue to keep track of all my progress to date.   I will be as open and transparent as I can on what I do, so all the right things I did, or the mistakes I make will be recorded here for both your, and my benefit.  While this started out as a means for me to keep track of my progress, I hope that you will be able to pick up some useful knowledge here, and hopefully be even more successful.

My plan is to share, to learn, and to help.  If you enjoy reading what I’m writing here, I would appreciate if you could write me something nice.  If you need help on figuring your personal finances out, just drop me a note via my contact page, or on one of my posts, and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
